Ear to the Wild: 20 Locations, 53 Episodes, 1.5 Years!

In 1.5 years of producing the Ear to the Wild radio program we’ve completed 53 episodes, from 20 different locations in the North Bay Area. I made this map for the NorCal Public Media/KRCB Food and Wine Awards last weekend (Saturday March 30, 2024). We had an Ear to the Wild table there, which I set up as a listening station. People could look at the map, choose whatever ETTW episodes they wanted from the menu, and then listen through headphones. It was really fun sharing my work live and in person. I look forward to doing more of this!

You may notice that there are large areas that are not yet represented. Ear to the Wild needs funding to help us get out and record those places, and to produce more episodes. If you feel this work is important, and are compelled to support it, please consider DONATING, SPONSORING, or simply DOWNLOADING soundscape albums from the ETTW website.

Thanks! Jack Hines
